Camp Blue Diamond is located just outside of Petersburg, PA. They offer part and full-week sessions for campers ages 5 through 18. They are proud to be the only local summer camp accredited by the American Camp Association. They provide sibling discounts and scholarships for those with a financial need. A new program called Summer EBT, or “SUN Bucks,” has been authorized by a bipartisan U.S. Congress to provide food dollars to low-income families with school-aged children over the summer months. The program is proven to reduce food insecurity and improve children's nutrition during summer break. Governor Shapiro’s administration announced that the Commonwealth would participate in this program beginning in the summer of 2024. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) oversees the program, and the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) coordinates the benefit issuance in Pennsylvania.
Students at Juniata Valley will be participating in the Spring administration of the Keystone exams focusing on the areas of Algebra I, Biology, and Literature. The testing window for the Keystone exam is May 13, 2024, through May 24, 2024.
